Mes expériences de vie et de voyage m'ont profondément marquée. Chaque œuvre d'art que je conçois est développée à partir de moments vécus et émanteler le « bagage » que je porte.

À travers ces expériences, je constante que l'eau, bien sûr, un besoin à la fois simple et essentiel mais également, une des ressources les plus politisées et problématiques au monde.

Ainsi, j'aimerais proposer la performance ACCÈS 2010, ce mois d'août. Mon objectif est de traverser l'île de Montréal, du côté sud au côté nord avec un seau d'eau. Je souhaite ainsi sensibiliser le public aux problèmes d'équité et d'accessibilité à l'eau potable.

Access 2010

My life and traveling experiences have had a great affect on who I am and how I see the world. Each art piece I envision is developed from a certain moment in time. With this new work, I am trying to dismantle the 'baggage' we each carry.

Whether growing up in a lakeside community of Northern Ontario where out of forty surrounding native reserves, thirty-nine still do not have drinkable water;

Or living in Montreal, on an island, where we don't pay attention to the quantity of this precious resource we consume;

Or through living in diverse parts of the world where I sadly purchased bottled water to then create excess waste while local women walk several kilometers to get a bucket of water for cooking or washing;

Water - is an essential need and an object so simple that is actually one of the things the most globally political and problematic topics.

Therefore, I am going to perform Access 2010 this August by walking across Montreal island from the south shore to the north shore carrying a bucket filled with water. This gesture hopes to inspire awareness surrounding problems related to equality and accessibility of clean water.
